The early settlers brought to New Zealand's green land traditional family recipes from the "Old World of Europe". This traditional family recipe contains lots of real fruit (including juicy dates), nuts and brandy. The finished product is encrusted with a glazed fruit and nut topping.
The special low fat recipe has been endorsed by the Heart Foundation of New Zealand.
